On June 11th, 2018 our little man Rex was born and we have been smitten ever since. Naomi really wanted to be in the room so we decided to let her and it ended up being a really cool experience for her. She just stayed quietly up by her daddy by my head and was so excited to be there.
His name
Jared was tasked with naming this one and he said he wanted to see him before he settled on a name. Kobe was the leader for a name entering the hospital after the beloved basketball player but
he had a hard time deciding. We started thinking about the name Rex the next morning after he was born and because he had a broken collar bone when he came out his arm was secured to his body with an ace wrap so he looked like he had
little T-Rex arms. We settled on Rex James Wortley minutes before we left the hospital. I have loved his name and it seems to suit him perfectly. The work Rex means King, so with his middle name being James, Jared still got his basketball fix.
The video
When your husband is a videographer, you know he is going to document it perfectly. Jared has such a way of capturing the most special parts of the day. I love the way he included Leo & Naomi and it is so fun to see their raw reactions to the day and its unfolding. I get teary eyed every time I watch it. I love when Leo says "I don't know his name" and Naomi says, "I was so excited, I couldn't even eat my breakfast. My heart is happy.
